Liveaboard Life

Heads up: this is an independent, unofficial guide — not the operator’s official website. Trip details, seasons, and any prices are general/illustrative and may be out of date. Always confirm current itineraries with SD Shark Diving and book only through the operator.

Many of these expeditions are liveaboards: you live, eat, and sleep on the boat for the trip, diving multiple times a day at remote sites you couldn’t reach on a day trip.

A Day Aboard

  • Several guided dives or encounters per day, weather permitting
  • Meals and bunks on board; downtime between dives
  • Briefings from crew and naturalists before each entry
  • Long crossings to reach remote destinations

Who It Suits

Liveaboards reward divers who want immersion and remoteness. Comfort levels, certification requirements, and sea conditions vary by trip — all worth discussing with the operator beforehand.

Inherent risk: diving, snorkeling, and in-water wildlife encounters carry inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. Nothing here is training, medical, or safety advice. Always dive within your certification, follow professional guidance, and rely on the operator’s own safety briefings.
